Update on Information Tribunal

Nick Martin-Clark, the acting secretary of the HLA,continues to be involved in an effort at the Information Tribunal to obtain disclosure of the details of the RSP report that led to the HLA's derecognition in 2014. The Information Tribunal matter is currently part heard. Whilst there is no interest in going back into the past unnecessarily receiving clarity on HfH's undermining of the RSP's independence in order to get rid of a legitimate  residents' group is more urgent and necessary than ever. It is vital that residents should be able to participate in involvement structures openly and it is clear that resident voices need to be heard more loudly in Haringey to combat unfairness and any shortfalls in service. As the HLA has been saying for years part of this involves increased funding, best achieved through a voluntary levy on the service charge.
